How to apply for a role at Feros Care

Whilst we love having fun at work, we take recruitment and selection seriously. Our aged care and disability services are very important and we need the best people to ensure our high standards of care are maintained at all times.

Here's what you can expect in our recruitment process:

    Overview
      1. Complete your online application

        Simply fill in the details and upload a copy of your CV and Cover letter.

        This online application helps us create a shortlist of applicants who most closely meet our requirements. For some positions, this step may also contain an assessment and/or pre-screening questions. Once you submit your application, you will be sent an automated email acknowledging your successful lodgement.

        Once your application has been reviewed, applicants proceeding to the next stage can expect to hear within 14 days, however, please note there maybe occasions where this may take longer.

        Due to the rapid growth of Feros Care, we retain our candidate's details within our recruitment system (including those who are unsuccessful) so they can be considered for future opportunities. You may request the removal of your personal information from our recruitment system at any time by contacting talent@feroscare.com.au.

      2. Phone interview

        Our Recruitment Advisors will review your skills and experience against the position’s criteria and if you’re a suitable applicant, we will contact you to arrange a phone interview. If a phone interview doesn’t suit your needs, please let us know and we can tailor our process to your requirements.

        This stage provides a great opportunity for you to tell us more about your skill set, knowledge and motivation for applying to work with us at Feros Care. During the interview, we will ask you a series of questions relating to the position and likewise, we welcome you to ask us any questions you may have. 

      3. Skills testing

        Depending on the role, you may be required to complete a skills assessment. This may include typing tests, MS office assessments and other basic software skill tests. These will be sent to you via email to complete. We are supportive of all people, so if there are any concerns around testing difficulties, speak with us so we can assist.

      4. Panel interview

        Upon completion, successful applicants of phone and skill testing will be invited to attend a panel interview. This could be in the form of a face-to-face interview or virtually (online). Applicants will receive an email confirming the interview date, time and location so you can arrange to attend. You will also be asked to supply supporting documentation for your application.

        The interview panel will consist of a minimum of two of our vibrant Feros Care team members. Interviews are a great opportunity to demonstrate your suitability for the role and also for you to find out whether Feros Care is a good fit for you.

        If you are a person who identifies as having a disability, please let our Recruitment Advisor know and we shall accommodate your individual needs for the interview.

        At the interview you will need to bring:

        • all completed forms
        • 100 Points of ID to confirm your identity (e.g. passport, birth certificate, drivers licence, Medicare card or an Australian Citizenship certificate).

        Please note: We will also use this ID to conduct a Work Rights Check to make sure you are eligible to work in Australia.

      5. We speak to your references

        If you progress to the next stage, we will conduct two professional employment reference checks. This involves contacting the references you have provided to us.

      6. Job offer

        If you are successful, we will let you know. Congratulations!

        Upon your acceptance of a verbal offer, we will send you an employment agreement contract, along with other commencement paperwork for you to complete. You’re then ready to start work with us!

        Under the Aged Care Act (1997) and the NDIS Act (2013) it is a mandatory requirement that:

        • All employees working in the Aged Care undergo a National Police Check prior to commencing employment with Feros Care
        • All employees working in the disability field undergo a National Police Check and Working with Children Check prior to commencing employment with Feros Care.

        We will now conduct a criminal history check to protect our business, our people and clients. An offer of employment may be withdrawn if results do not meet legislative requirements.

         

      7. Welcome to Feros Care - orientation commences

        Welcome to our team! Now it’s time to enjoy the orientation program.

        During the first few weeks, there will be a lot to learn. Feros Care’s orientation program is extremely thorough but exciting. It is designed to help you build strong relationships across the organisation, learn specific job requirements and acquire essential organisational knowledge.
