Byron Bay Village

Nestled within a large native garden, Feros Village Byron Bay is a little like a lush tropical beach resort, but with more intimacy and charm.

Four cottages – each with ten bedrooms – radiate from a central garden and each in turn has their own central courtyard. Every window and door looks out over greenery and a sense of open space and natural light is evident throughout the Village.

Our aim at Byron Bay is to foster our residents’ independence and mobility. We want you to continue to enjoy life and stay actively connected and involved in your local community as much as you can. We call our approach to residential aged care the Byron Model of Care.

You can bring your pet with you. Have your friends and family over. Pursue your hobbies. Go out for dinner or lunch – it’s up to you.

A central multi-purpose room is a meeting place for residents and the heart of our Village, while the undercover BBQ area comes alive with stories and laughter during happy hour.

And like all good resorts, the WiFi is free so you can keep in touch with family and friends who perhaps aren’t as lucky to live in paradise!

A short walk from the Village through the adjoining bush reserve will take you to Byron’s famous Clarke’s beach, and a flat walking path leads into the town centre. You can head to the services club, yoga studios, cafes and shops – whatever takes your fancy.

The area is also spoilt for choice with the number of doctors and specialists working in the region, and a state-of-the art hospital opened in Byron in 2016.

Byron Bay Village is a Residential Aged Care Facility providing long-term (permanent) and short-term (respite) aged care. We have operated since 1990.

Vibrant Village Life

Byron Bay Village feels constantly alive with the comings and goings of our residents, their pets, visitors, as well as our many volunteers.  A Feros bus takes regular outings to Byron Bay and further afield and you’re encouraged to suggest excursions that interest you.

The bedrooms

Byron Bay Village has single bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms and built in wardrobes. A bed, bedside table and sitting chair are provided however we actively encourage you to give the room a makeover.

Bring in as little or as much as you like. Change the curtains. Update the linen. Make room for that special piece of furniture you love. It’s important you feel at home. We want your personal space to reflect your taste, not ours.

The bedrooms have a front and back door. The front door entry is via the Cottage.  The back door takes you into the garden and your personal terrace.  Every bedroom has its own aspect and outlook, with natural light and a spacious feel.

On the terrace there’s room for your plants, garden furniture or perhaps a bird bath.  If you’re a green thumb there’s a garden bed ready and waiting for you to work your magic.

Facilities and services

Byron Bay Village supports and supervises up to 40 residents. Our goal is to help you maintain your independence and continue to live an active and happy life, with a good dose of fun

From the Village you can easily head into town and do your own thing – the beach isn’t far away. Or you might prefer to take part in the wide range of activities we offer onsite. Regular BBQs and happy hour – complete with sing-alongs to familiar tunes - are favourites. There are drumming workshops, Feldenkrais classes and community outings on the bus. Special theme days are always popular with those who can’t resist an opportunity to dress up.

As well as the amenities you would expect of a residential aged care facility, the Village has a hairdresser who visits weekly.
