What is the Commonwealth Home Support Program?

The Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) is a Government-subsidised program for over 65s who just need a little bit of extra support to stay at home. The program provides subsidised home and community care services which are delivered by service providers like Feros Care.

With CHSP, the focus is on working with you, rather than taking over and doing it all for you. It’s about building on what you can do, to help you stay in your home - independent, happy, healthy and safe.

The CHSP is designed to deliver low-level support. As your needs become more complex or intensive and you start to require case management assistance, you may be referred for a Home Care Package (HCP). Feros Care can help you apply for a HCP and then coordinate and manage the home and community services that meet your needs on your behalf.

What CHSP services can Feros Care help you with?

The CHSP offers seniors a range of home and community care services. Feros Care can support you with a wide range of CHSP services, from the boring stuff like cleaning to the fun stuff like exercising to music you’ll love. We’d be delighted to help keep you happy and healthy at home.

We offer everything from personal care to physio, medication and transport – if you need it, chances are we can make it happen. We can even organise social trips where you can catch up with friends over a round of mini golf, Zumba or high tea.  We do it your way, on your terms. Our CHSP services provide all the help you need, without the hassle.
