New Feros Care CEO appointed

The Feros Care Board is delighted to announce the appointment of Ms Karen Crouch to the role of Chief Executive Officer, Feros Care.
A familiar name in the sector, Karen has spent the last eight years leading a large community services organisation with more than 3,000 staff and over 60 sites, delivering services across community and residential aged care, disability services, retirement living and other community services in youth, families, mental health and well-being.
Having been attracted to Feros Care by our strong vision and purpose, focus on innovation and unique values, Karen brings a strong reputation as a highly capable and authentic leader with a passion for supporting all people to live their best life.
Karen has an impressive record and has been instrumental in achieving significant growth in client numbers, revenue and scale over the past 8 years, including a range of industry awards. Karen also has a track record of partnering with the public and private sector and philanthropists to deliver large-scale award winning retirement villages and crisis accommodation for women and children.
Prior to her current role at Anglicare, Karen worked for Queensland Health in various roles including as Policy and Practice Lead, Office of the Chief Nurse. Karen has a background in clinical nursing and has received a number of personal awards and accolades, including being employed as one of the first nurse practitioners in Queensland.
At a broader level, Karen is a member of the Qld Divisional Council for ACSA.
Building on the outstanding legacy of Jennene Buckley as our outgoing CEO, Karen is delighted to be joining Feros Care at this exciting time, both for the organisation and the sector, and looks forward to working with the board, executive team and all staff, customers, members and other stakeholders to lead Feros Care into continuing success and a very bright future.

Karen will formally commence in the Chief Executive role in early September 2021. The Feros Care board has appointed Melissa Simpson (Chief Customer Officer) as acting CEO until Karen commences at Feros Care.
