The My Health Record system (previously known as a Personally Controlled Electronic Health Record (PCEHR) or eHealth record) is the Australian government’s digital health record system. It contains My Health Records which are online summaries of your health information, such as medicines you are taking, any allergies you may have and treatments you have received.

Your My Health Record allows you and your doctors, hospitals and other healthcare providers to view and share your health information in order to provide you with the best possible care. You can also access your health records on-line.

However, the My Health Records Act limits when and how health information included in a My Health Record can be collected, used and disclosed. Unauthorised collection, use or disclosure of My Health Record information is both a breach of the My Health Records Act and an interference with privacy, so your information is safe and protected.

Registering for you own My Health Record is FREE and is available now.
